A “Good-bye” click records the time spent on last blog post read.

The time viewers spend on a website partly determines the Google rating. Time is recorded as zero unless a click is made to stop the clock.

Unlike commercial websites, a blogger is perfectly happy if someone reads a single post. Yet, even if someone spends 5 minutes, 10 minutes or an hour on a single post it is counted as zero. Therefore, it is considered a bounce.

A click “Good-bye” before leaving is a sign of appreciation for the work that goes into researching, writing and maintaining this website.
